Guidance Overview

Guidance, an integral part of the total school program, provide services to students that help them to understand and develop their abilities and interests as fully as possible, to relate them to life goals, and to reach a state of mature self-guidance and self-discipline filled with Christian values. Counselors help the student make wise educational, vocational, and personal decisions and use intelligent planning and decision-making skills. An appointment with a counselor may be scheduled by filling out an appointment slip available outside the counselor's door. Counselors are always immediately available for crisis or emergency counseling.

Since the well being of the individual student is a mutual concern, parents are encouraged to maintain contact with the counselors. The counselor is able to advise the parent/guardian of specific professional service providers if needed for a student.
