Congratulations Coach Laffey!!!
We
congratulate Varsity Softball Coach Diane Laffey
on her 1000th Softball win!! The win came on
Saturday, May 1, 2010 during the Michigan Stars
Tournament at Liberty Park in Sterling Heights
in a no hitter against Alpena.
Ms. Laffey is
the first coach in MHSAA history to reach the
1000 win mark. In her 40 years as softball
coach at Regina, Ms. Laffey has a .744 winning
percentage and 5 State Softball Championships!

Regina Alum Nikki Nemitz is named Pitcher of
the Year at U of M
Nemitz named U-M's top pitcher Regina graduate posted 24-5 record for
the Wolverines

Michigan junior pitcher Nikki Nemitz, a graduate of Regina, was named
the softball team's Most Outstanding Pitcher at an awards banquet May
11.
Nemitz helped the Wolverines earn the fifth seed in the upcoming NCAA
Tournament by going 24-5 with a Big Ten-best 0.90 earned-run average.
She also struck out 277 batters and threw five shutouts.

The Varsity Soccer
team defeated Lake Shore High School 1-0, Saturday June
7th, to win a District Championship. Regina 's Senior
Class of 2008 was the most successful soccer class in
school history. Together 11 seniors combined for three
District titles, two Regional Finals appearances, one
Regional Championship and one MHSAA Final-4 appearance.

Regina Softball - District Champs Again!
Varsity Softball won their district by defeating Warren Cousino
7 to 1.
They ended a successful season just shy of winning the regional
tournament. Congratulations on a great season!
Regina Softball (2007) Wins 4th Straight
Division 1 State Softball Title!

Regina
High School runners Mallory Sneden, Anna Maria
Paruk, Beth Ponkowski and Gina Valgoi placed sixth in
the 4 x 800 relay at the Division II state track
championship on June 2, 2007 at Zeeland High School with
a school record time of 9:48.49. Gina Valgoi is also a
two-time All-Stater in cross country and holds the CYO
mile record. The Regina
team is coached by Gregg Golden, Becky Hendren and Bob Valgoi.
