Regina High School President Announcement
On behalf of the Board of Directors of Regina High School, I am pleased to announce after an extensive search we have selected Mary Treder Lang as the new President of Regina High School to replace Sr. Mary Leanne, SSJ-TOSF who retired as of July 31, 2019.
Mary was born and raised in suburban Detroit and is a graduate of Our Lady Star of the Sea grade school and high school in Grosse Pointe Woods. Mary attended the University of Dayton in Dayton, Ohio where she received a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration and was a double major in Accounting and Marketing. Mary and her husband raised their three (now adult children) in Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.
Along with her energy and enthusiasm, Mary brings to this position a great deal of leadership experience in the private and non-profit sectors along with a deep admiration for Catholic school education. She is a Certified Public Accountant with many professional accomplishments related to marketing, development, institutional advancement and finance.
Most recently Mary has been serving as a business development consultant where she specialized in non-profit growth for various organizations. In 2018 Mary ran for Secretary of State with the State of Michigan having raised a record amount of funds as candidate. Prior to the election, Mary worked with Vista Maria in Dearborn Heights as the Vice President of Development Programs.
Mary was appointed in November, 2012 as a Board of Regent to serve on the Eastern Michigan University Board through December, 2020.
Mary will begin in her role as President of Regina High School on November 4, 2019.
