March 16, 2020 - IMPORTANT MESSAGE
March 16, 2020
Regina plans on moving forward with online instruction starting this week. Students will be receiving information from teachers by the end of today, if they haven't already, about expectations. Please know that we are all in this together and that we will get through this. The goal is to keep students connected and moving forward the best we can. Know that staff is available via email as questions come up. Teachers have been working extremely diligently to prepare lessons that your daughter will find success with. I am sure there will be bumps along the way, but none of us are alone in this. Stay positive!
After consulting with other independent Catholic high schools in the area, most of us plan to have online auction through April 7, 2020. We will stick with our regularly scheduled spring break beginning on April 8-April 19. Our return date as of now is Monday, April 20. Please note that this is our plan as of today. Should things change, we will let you know as soon as we are able.
As indicated in previous SchoolMessenger communications, Regina High School begins remote instruction tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17th. To test our online capabilities, each teacher will send out a mini-syllabus to students before the end of the day. We are asking that each student respond as directed by the teacher TODAY, so we can identify and trouble shoot any individual or global glitches. Our sincere appreciation to everyone as we all try to do our best to further your daughter's education while complying with measures to protect the public health.
Below is the text of an email sent this morning to each student through her rhssaddles account. It reiterates the information above and lists the primary format each teacher will use to deliver instruction and monitor learning. Once again, we thank you for your support and patience during this extraordinary time.
We pray that you and your family stays safe and healthy!
