Scholarships

Regina High School Scholarship Information 2017-2018 School Year

 Through the generous contribution of the Regina alumnae, friends, and families, the school is able to offer the following scholarships to qualifying students. These scholarships are awarded on an annual basis, and must be reapplied for each year.

For each scholarship selected, please complete the appropriate essay.


REGINA HIGH SCHOOL MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS

                Awarded to FRESHMEN who have at least a B+ average and score as follows on the November or December High School Placement Test (HSPT):

                                                                     94– 99%               $2,000

                                                                     89 – 93%              $1,500

                                                          The amount is applied to tuition and not to fees.

These scholarships are renewable for those students who earn them based on the HSPT, however certain GPA's MUST be maintained.

If you are awarded our $2,000 scholarship you must maintain a 3.75 or better GPA all four years, and if you are awarded the $1,500 scholarship, you must maintain a 3.50 or better GPA all four years.


For all Scholarship Applications that are requesting the student's social security number, we are only requiring the last four digits. Thank you.


 

MAFALDA STANN SCHOLARSHIP

  • Given in memory of Mafalda Stann, mother of Campus Minister Nick Stann
  • Available to students in grades 10, 11, and 12
  • One (1) scholarship each year
  • Amount - $500
  • Request application from Regina’s main office
  • Available – March 13, 2017
  • Deadline – April 10, 2017
  • Notification – June 2017

   MOSCOTTA MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Funded by a donation from Dr. Mitchell and Mrs. Jocelyn Dombrowski in memory of Judith Moscotta, a former Regina High School teacher
  • Available to students entering into grade 9
  • One (1) scholarship each year
  • Amount - $600 - $800
  • Request application from Regina’s main office
  • Available – March 13, 2017
  • Deadline – April 10, 2017
  • Notification – June 2017

FRANCISCAN FOUNDER’S AWARD

  • Inspired by the Franciscan values of Regina High School, this award is sponsored by the Regina Dads Club
  • Available to students entering into grades 9 and 10
  • The number of awards varies each year
  • Amount-varies
  • Request application from Regina’s main office
  • Available – March 13, 2017
  • Deadline – April 10, 2017
  • Notification – June 2017

ST. JOSEPH SCHOLARSHIP FUND

  • Inspired by the Patron of the Sponsoring order of Sisters, this scholarship is provided by the Regina High School Mothers Guild
  • Available to students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12
  • The number of awards varies each year
  • Amount - $600 - $800
  • Request application from Regina’s main office
  • Available – March 13, 2017
  • Deadline – April 10, 2017
  • Notification – June 2017 

LORETTO F. SCHULTE MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • Funded by donations from the Schulte Family in memory of Loretto F. Schulte
  • Available to students in grades 9, 10, 11, and 12
  • The number of awards varies each year
  • Amount – a minimum of $1000
  • Request application from Regina’s main office
  • Available – March 13, 2017
  • Deadline – April 10, 2017
  • Notification – June 2017

PRESIDENT'S SCHOLARSHIP

  • A "needs based" scholarship funded by donations
  • Available to students in grades 9,10,11, and 12
  • Five(5) scholarships each year
  • Amount-minimum of $1000
  • Parent(s)/Guardina(s) must file a SAFA applicaiton
  • Available – March 13, 2017
  • Deadline – April 28, 2017
  • Notification – June 2017

 

ALLIANCE CATHOLIC CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP

             

  • Available to students in grades 8, 9,10, and 11
  • Contest to award two (2) $5,000 scholarships 
  • Be sure to tag the video with #FaithFinder. Good luck!or students who will be attending a CHSL school in the 2017-2018 academic year
  • The contest entry information can be found on the Alliance Catholic CU Facebook page (www.facebook.com/AllianceCatholicCreditUnion) or through this URL (www.AllianceCCU.com/5000)
  • Students are being asked to create a 15-second video and a short essay (max 500 words) in response to the following questions:
    • How do you incorporate faith into your daily life, and how does that make you one or more of the following: a better student, son/daughter, classmate, teammate, sibling, friend, and/or citizen?
    • Be sure to tag the video with #FaithFinder
  • Ten (10) finalists will be selected and invited to a short interview with a panel of representatives from the Credit Union and the Catholic Schools Office. From there, two grand prize winners will be selected
  • The eight (8) finalists who do not receive the scholarships will receive $100 VISA gift cards. Alliance Catholic CU will work directly with the schools to make the payments on behalf of the winning families
  • The deadline for entries is December 10
